With its weight (from 38 kg), the Mercury F 9.9 is the lightest in its class. It has a pleasant multifunctional tiller handle (gear selection (F / N / R) and gas) for easy one-handed operation. Manual fuel enrichment and primers make starting easier. A backstop prevents the motor from floating when reversing.
The model has an external fuel tank of 12 l, 208 ccm and 2 cylinders.
The F 9.9 is also available with Command Thrust (CT). These models have a larger and lower-lying gear and a four-bladed propeller optimized for high thrust as well as a gear ratio matched to it. (see pictures)
